About Us
Nick is an environmental attorney working for the Ohio Attorney General's Office. He is known around the office for his dry sense of humor and quick-draw wit. Nick is intelligent, generous, caring, loving, and always the life of the party. He is dedicated and honest in his work and personal life. Nick enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an animal lover. He enjoys playing golf, softball, video games, board games and cards.
Aleca in an elementary teacher certified to teach 1st through 8th grade. She is a wonderful wife and will be a phenomenal mother. She is creative, sensitive, funny, compassionate and patient. She always thinks of others first and has a huge heart. Wherever she goes, children are drawn to Aleca due to her respectful and loving nature.

Our House and Neighborhood
We live in a great three bedroom home in a diverse neighborhood with two swing set/jungle gyms, a dog park, and a large metropolitan park all within walking or biking distance. We built our home at the end of 2004 and moved in during early 2005. Most households in our subdivision have young children that are frequently outside playing sports, tag, and other games. It is a safe and comfortable place for a child to grow and thrive.
Family
Both of our families are extremely loving and supportive of us and our decision to adopt. Having both families in Ohio will ensure that your child will be brought up with frequent family visits, holiday get-togethers, and many cousins to grow up with.
Nick is the first of three children and comes from a small family, primarily located in the Cincinnati area. During family parties, you can always count on there being card games, board games and lots of laughs. Playing golf has always been a family tradition for Nick's family. During his most recent visit home, Nick and Aleca played golf with his mother, father and grandfather before having a family cook-out at his aunt's house. Nick's family is very excited about our decision to adopt and can't wait for the news that we have been chosen as adoptive parents.

Barkley
Barkley is our six year old puppy who likes to think she runs the house. She loves people and children. She has a big heart and is very loving. Her favorite activities are to run and play outside in our big backyard, relax in the shade, and bury her treats under our trees.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and learn about our thoughts, beliefs, and dreams for your child. We admire your love and sacrifice, and our hearts go out to you for the very difficult decision you are facing. We can never fully understand the emotions you are feeling and we hope you find peace and comfort as you consider your options. After learning about us, we hope that you will feel that we are the right couple to take on the incredibly important responsibility of raising your child.
Our names are Aleca and Nicholas. We met about ten years ago in college. We quickly became friends and within a year fell in love with one another. After dating for three years we became engaged to be married. We waited another year to be married as Nick was finishing law school and taking the bar exam. We were married October 8, 2005 and our love grows stronger and deeper every day. Currently, Aleca is a grade school teacher. She knows the best children's books and recently won the Parent/Teacher Organization's "Teacher of the Year" award. Nick is an environmental attorney working for the Ohio Attorney General's Office. He works on cases aimed at protecting the environment and ensuring that it remains clean and healthy on behalf of all Ohio citizens.
To say that we are both excited about starting a family is an incredible understatement. We have been trying to conceive a child for over three years, enduring many fertility treatments and heartache along the way. Though things did not work out the way we initially planned, we realize now that it was an opportunity for us to learn and grow as a couple before adding a child to our family. We can hardly wait to be a part of game nights, youth sports/coaching, museum and zoo visits, or any other adventure that awaits us! Holidays and birthdays have always been a big deal for our families and us. It is our dream to include this child in all of our traditions; from yearly winter vacations to Florida or the Caribbean, large family holiday get-togethers, to pictures with Santa and making traditional Greek food with grandpa, just to name a few.
We plan to provide a home in which a child will feel special, accepted, and loved. We will give encouragement, guidance, and educational opportunities so that your child can develop into a happy and healthy individual. We come from large families with diverse backgrounds and live in a diverse community. We plan on sending pictures and updates to you, if you desire, so that you can see how your child is growing and developing. Nick's mother became pregnant at a young age and made the difficult decision to give her daughter up for adoption. She was still in high school and realized she was unable to properly care for a child. Since then, Lisa has stayed in contact with Nick's family and she understands what a selfless sacrifice this was for Nick's mother. She is so grateful for her adopted family, who has helped her become the person she is today. Our families are very much in support of our decision to adopt and Lisa is uniquely able to share her memories and insight about her adoption experience.
We are both thrilled about becoming a mother and father. We cannot wait to share out love and joy with a child. We can offer your baby a loving home to grow up in with two devoted parents that will provide your child with our everlasting love and support. We hope that you will entrust us with the care of your child. We are committed to becoming the best parents we can be.
